The bear face emoji depicts the head of a brown bear, and is usually much closer in resemblance to a cute teddy bear than to a real life grizzly! Depending on the platform used, the bear comes in a number of different shades of brown, from a dark brown on Android to an almost golden yellow on Samsung. Most versions give their bear either a passive or happy demeanor. The emoji can be used in many contexts, including in conversations about wildlife, animals and the great outdoors. Additionally, thanks to its teddy bear-ish appearance, it can also be used in the context of childhood, toys, play and even picnics!
